Elche – Villarreal – Review – 06.02.2021

Feb 5, 2021 | Soccer news and reviews

Elche faces Villarreal at the Estadio Manuel Martinez Valero in a match from the 22th
round of La Liga. Let’s take a look at it in these football betting tips this weekend. Are you
ready?
Elche continue to struggle in the league since their promotion, fighting for survival. Right
now the club is 19th in the standings with 17 points won and this is not a good position to
be. The good news is that 17th Osasuna is only two points away.
Elche’s biggest problem right now is their current shape. They have lost four of their last
five matches in La Liga. In the previous round Jorge Almiron’s team paid a visit to Valencia
at the Mestalla, but the match ended with a 1-0 win for Los Che.
It remains to be seen if Jorge Almiron is going to finish the season or not. Don’t be
surprised if he gets sacked soon. The club clearly must change something in order to
ressurect its chances of survival.
Villarreal will try to win again after three consecutive draws in La Liga. Unai Emery’s team
got only three points in the last three matches against Granada, Huesca and Real
Sociedad. That’s the reason why the Yellow Submarine is now 4 points behind the 4th
Sevilla. Emery’s boys must start winning again and they must start doing it quickly.
In the previous round Villarreal faced Real Sociedad at home, but the match ended with a
1-1 draw. Dani Parejo scored an early opener, but Villarreal had the bad luck to concede a
late equaliser in the 93th minute.
Villarreal have lost just two matches in the league so far. Only Atletico Madrid have
suffered less defeats than them during the campaign.
That’s our football betting tips this weekend for the La Liga clash between Elche and
Villarreal on Saturday. Let’s see what’s going to happen.
